Capitale is a contemporary typeface that explores the historical transition from serif to sans, achieving a conceptual continuity that minimizes formal rupture.
It was born as a remembrance of a time when modernity was beginning to emerge from classicism, merging into a single concept the ideas of respect for tradition and confidence in a more rational future.

Capitale belongs to the tradition of Roman capital letters carved in stone, preserving their structural balance and a formal restraint that conveys strength through sobriety.

In its own way, it also captures the spirit of those early industrial typefaces which, while not fully abandoning classical forms, adopted a more functional and reserved—almost austere—attitude.

Built upon a sober yet flexible geometric structure, Capitale incorporates subtle calligraphic inflections that introduce an efficient visual logic without giving up the human gesture.

Capitale is a typeface that is conscious of its heritage, yet designed to meet the demands of the present and open to new ways of interpreting text through a contemporary lens.
